  • Job Summary: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in engineering, no previous experience required, completion of the FE Exam is preferred. Prospective employees must be skilled in technical writing and comfortable with rigorous testing activities and travel.
  • Job Qualifications:

    Bachelor or Master of Science degree in engineering

    Physically able to perform field testing, including carrying heavy equipment cases, climbing stairs, and occasionally working in spaces such as attics and basements.

    Willing and able to participate in overnight travel for projects.

    FE Exam preferred.

    Citizen of the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

Atkinson-Noland & Associates (ANA) is a small consulting engineering firm specializing in evaluation and repair of existing masonry structures. Most of our projects involve on-site evaluation of structures using nondestructive and in-place test methods, structural analysis, and design of stabilization schemes. We also have a materials laboratory where we perform mortar analysis, compression testing, and other specialty testing services.

We are looking for a new or recent structural engineering graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree to start as soon as possible (January 2024 through June 2024 start date preferred).

Duties:

  • Analysis and design of concrete, masonry, steel, and wood structures, working under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
  • Design of new masonry construction, including sound barrier walls, stone slab veneer attachment, and reinforced masonry wall systems.
  • Design detailing using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or Revit
  • Assist with field evaluation of structures using visual and nondestructive evaluation methods.
  • Writing technical reports and project specifications.
  • Employees must have the capability to travel occasionally to projects throughout the U.S. We currently have projects in states including Colorado, New York, Illinois, and Arizona.
