  • Job Summary: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of architectural metal projects under the guidance of senior management and experienced Project Managers.
  • Job Qualifications:

    Qualifications / Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related role—experience with architectural metals is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of construction methods, project scheduling, and budgeting principles.

    Skills & Competencies:

    Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
    Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive relationships.
    Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Adaptability & Initiative: Willingness to learn, take on new responsibilities, and seek out guidance from senior staff when needed.

    Certifications (Preferred):

    • OSHA 10-hour training or similar construction safety certification.
    • Participation in professional development programs related to construction or project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Support & Coordination:

Project Preparation: Assist in the development of project plans, including initial scope, timelines, and preliminary budgets. Support the procurement of materials and coordination with internal departments such as engineering, production, and safety.
Resource Assistance: Help track resource needs (labor, materials, equipment) and facilitate timely adjustments with suppliers and internal teams, ensuring milestones are met.
Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain organized project records, including schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, and safety reports for reference and compliance.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction:

Communication: Under supervision, communicate project updates to clients and stakeholders. Assist in addressing minor client inquiries, and escalating more complex issues to the Project Manager.
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to confirm delivery timelines, material quality, and adherence to project specifications
Safety & Quality Assistance:
Safety Compliance: Support the Project Manager and Safety team in ensuring all safety regulations are followed on-site. Participate in safety orientations, toolbox talks, and assist in documenting safety measures.
Quality Checks: Conduct basic site inspections as directed, verifying that work meets quality standards and specifications. Promptly report any deviations or concerns to the Project Manager.

Financial & Schedule Tracking:

Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project expenses and help identify potential cost-saving measures, reporting any discrepancies to the Project Manager.
Schedule Tracking: Help maintain updated project schedules, track deadlines, and note any delays. Work with the team to develop recovery plans to keep projects on track.
Risk Management & Reporting:
Issue Identification: Assist in identifying potential issues (e.g., delayed shipments, labor shortages) and bring them to the attention of senior team members.
Progress Reporting: Prepare routine status reports for internal review, summarizing progress, upcoming tasks, and any pending issues that require attention.
