  • Job Summary: The American Battlefield Trust, the nation’s premier historic land preservation nonprofit, seeks a dynamic, Finance Assistant to work on a variety of support functions as a team member in the Office of Finance.
  • Job Qualifications:
    • AA in related field with 2+ years’ experience with accounting responsibilities.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and well as a team member.
    • Can effectively manage multiple priorities.
    • Possesses a positive, can-do attitude and seeks new challenges and continuous self-improvement.
    • Solid skills in MS Excel.  Knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software a plus.
    • Outstanding communication skills – verbal and written.

  • Create expense and credit card transaction reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit work papers for year-end audits with outside auditors.
  • Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies.
  • Perform basic office tasks such as filing, data entry, processing mail, preparing bank deposits, and organizing digital and physical financial records.
  • Maintain various spreadsheets to support financial transactions.
  • Work on special projects as needed.
