🔗Museum Collections Intern – 1200 hours
National Park Service/NCPE Internship Program
The successful candidate will work with Museum Collections regional and park staff to meet National Park Service (NPS) curation standards for managing museum and archival collections. The internship will focus on assessing vulnerabilities and primary resource collection at park museum storage facilities to establish baseline documentation. Data will be used to assess future threats and impacts resulting from climate change. The intern will supply data to the national Museum Management Program and work with staff to develop recommendations and plans for facility improvements in response to these threats.
Other duties may include processing, cataloging, packing, and handling archival materials and museum objects; regular housekeeping and environmental monitoring tasks; working with curatorial teams from around the NPS; and providing document reviews for parks and region-level planning documents.
