  • Job Qualifications:

    The Escrow Assistant must be team players with the ability to work successfully with a range of people, including staff members, homeowners, and contractors. Candidates should have an excellent working knowledge of business software programs, including QuickBooks, Excel, and Word, and/or the facility to learn new programs.

The Society advocates for the preservation of historic landmarks in greater Cleveland; promotes awareness of historic resources through educational programs and publications; sponsors events for its members; operates a Sacred Landmarks Assistance Program to aid the caretakers of religious landmarks with repair and maintenance issues, and operates the Heritage Home Program, a unique homeowner assistance program in 42 cities and villages in Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lorain Counties.

The Escrow Assistant is a full-time staff person who will perform assigned accounting activities of the Cleveland Restoration Society.  The Escrow Assistant reports to the Chief Operating Officer and the Heritage Home Program most senior Associate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform all Heritage Home Program Escrow accounting and Escrow payments as authorized by our Heritage Home Program Associates including:
  • Act as main point of contact for all escrow payments including communicating with homeowners, contactors, and other vendors to gather needed documentation;
  • Process 40-60 check or ACH escrow payments a week;
  • Create escrow accounts for newly funded loans; and
  • Other escrow accounting as needed.
  • Work to improve efficiencies in areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
