The NCPE Museum Archival Collections Intern works primarily with archival materials and various databases and finding aids, but also assists with collection management of museum objects when needed. This position basically assists the Museum Curator with the care and management of the park museum collections, archives, and research library. The intern stores objects, performs limited cleaning, helps identify preservation needs, performs item labeling, assists with inventories, and maintains organization of storage areas. The intern also catalogs objects and enters data into and maintains the catalog database program. Organizes and files photographs and other archival material. They may perform routine searches for records and information, as well as implement housekeeping schedules and assist with completion of Annual Inventory.
