Well-established small historic preservation consulting business with projects in several states. Services include research and documentation of historic architecture, including nominations to the National Register of Historic Places, Historic Structure Reports, and working with property owners to plan the restoration of historic buildings.
Historian needed for a small, fast-paced Historic Preservation Consulting business. This is a writing-intensive position with a focus on research and writing at a professional level. Experience with Historic Preservation Tax Credit applications and knowledge of CAD a plus, but not requisite. Must be a reliable self-starter, and able to complete tasks on a deadline. The ability to multi-task and work independently in a quiet workplace is requisite.
Duties will include:
· Writing about architecture and history and describing the scope of work for historically sensitive redevelopment.
· In-person and online historical research
· Writing National Register nominations
· Preparing Historic Preservation Tax Credit applications
· Copy-editing text and footnotes
· Misc. office support duties
