🔗Historic Cotton Plantation Facilities Maintenance Intern – 1200 hours
Website National Park Service/NCPE Internship
The successful candidate will work with the Park Facilities team focusing on historic preservation and how it affects the operational aspects of the Park. Specifically, the intern will help care for historic buildings and historic landscapes using a “hands-on” approach. The intern will develop skills related to pruning trees and shrubs in a historic landscape, caring for historic gardens, and minor repairs to historic buildings. Other duties may include exhibit area maintenance, assisting with interpretive programs and events, and tracking facility management activities.

Located at Oakland and Magnolia Plantations in Natchez, Louisiana, the most intact French Creole cotton plantations in the U.S.

Qualified NCPE interns who successfully complete their internships may count their position towards earning a Public Land Corps (PLC) Non-Competitive Hiring Authority certificate.
