A Cultural Resources Technician (Seasonal Worker, Full-time, 40 hours/week) position is available with the Colorado State University (CSU) Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position
will provide entry-level training and experience on a range of cultural resource projects supporting the Cultural Resources Management (CRM) Program at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (SFS), Florida. Duties will include but are not limited to the tasks below:
• Archaeological lab work, including cataloging artifacts and developing databases
• Aid with Phase 1 and Phase 2 archaeological fieldwork
• Perform reconnaissance photography for historical sites and buildings
• Conduct archival work at local museums and archives
Candidates must:
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in history, archaeology, historic preservation, cultural resource management, or
a related field.
• Have completed an archaeological field school or archaeology methods course
• Possess knowledge of Central Florida archaeology
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, kneel for extended periods of time, and work in harsh field conditions
• Possess strong organization skills
• Be capable of working independently
• Have proficiency in MS Office programs
