  • Job Qualifications:
    • Preferably three (3) years related experience in a similar role or any combination of education and experience in business and/or public administration, communications or marketing that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful.
    • Listens and adapts to feedback and other points of view and maintains composure when faced with difficult individuals or situations.
    • Understanding of and appreciation for the importance of community involvement.
    • Ability to exercise good judgement, possess effective problem-solving skills and the capacity to prioritize and work with frequent change of tasks.
    • Possess a high degree of sociability and creativity, establish, and maintain professional working relationships, and provide support, leadership and effective communication and decision making.
    • Proficient computer skills and keyboarding and the ability to learn and master Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Design Suite and various other software systems.
    • Must be able to work varied hours (day, evening, and weekend).
    • Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability.

City of Angola

The City of Angola is seeking applications for the full-time position of Community Coordinator. This position will work directly with various organizations and individuals in the coordination community activities and events. This position is also responsible for various projects and programs within the arts community, historic preservation, grants and funding programs and numerous civic and governmental bodies.
