  • Job Summary: The Senior Planner will be immersed in and responsible for a variety of long-range planning activities, including, the maintenance and updates to the Preservation Plan. Office is located in the historic city of Conway, SC. Nearest metro Myrtle Beach.
  • Job Qualifications:

    Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional
    Planning, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, Architecture,
    Historic Preservation, Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related
    field with a minimum of one to two years of experience or an equivalent
    combination of education, training and experience that provides the required
    knowledge, skills, and abilities. Candidates should have ArcGIS and/or Adobe
    Creative Suite experience or be willing to learn these skill sets within one year
    of employment. Candidates must be willing to furnish writing and mapping
    samples at time of interview and be able to pass required pre-employment
    physical and background check.

• Manage and prepare Planning & Zoning (P&Z) and Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) agendas. • Receiving and processing CoA-related complaints and working with the Historic Preservation Planner to assist customers pursuing compliance
