The Kansas Historical Society, established in 1875, is a state agency. Designated as the trustee of the state in 1879 and as the repository of official government records in 1905, the Historical Society collects and preserves the story of Kansas history.
This position is responsible for administering and monitoring grant-funded projects for compliance with state and federal funding requirements and reviewing project plans for conformance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. Duties include scheduling and conducting on-site visits to historic properties, developing and implementing procedures, criteria, and evaluation standards for the program, creating applications, promoting the program to the public, and conducting in-person and online workshops.
