  • Job Qualifications:

    ·       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to quickly learn new software is essential

    ·       Experience with professional social media presence and website content management are required

    ·       Expertise with mapping programs and graphic design is a plus

    ·       Experience with Neon One or other database management software preferred

    ·       A working knowledge of, or interest in, Maine’s history and heritage is preferred

    ·       Associate’s degree is required, education or experience in historic preservation is preferred

The Outreach Coordinator is often the first point of contact at Maine Preservation. This position demands excellent professional, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, plus the willingness and positive attitude to meet the ever-changing needs of a dynamic nonprofit organization. The position reports to and provides direct support for the Executive Director and coordinates with staff to provide communications for programs, events, and development activities.

The Outreach Coordinator must communicate clearly, juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well with other staff, volunteers, and interns. The Outreach Coordinator must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy; work effectively in a remote office; collaborate with other staff to help formulate and execute organizational strategies; and manage workflow accurately and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Communications: Manages the organization’s social media presence, website, and digital/print content, serving as the public contact lead for the organization

·       Programs and Events: Manage logistics and outreach for educational and awards programming, collaborate in the preparation and execution of fundraising and other events

·       Development: Maintain donor records, prepare acknowledgement letters, and assist in development campaigns

·       Administrative: Maintain organizational data and files and perform other requested tasks as needed, such as board management support
