  • Job Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Architectural History, Historic Preservation, Art History, or related field with coursework in American architectural history.
    • Must meeting Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications for Architectural History.
    • 5+ years of cultural resources and project management experience is a plus.
      Must have understanding of the National Register of Historic Places evaluation criteria.
    • Knowledge of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. State Historic Preservation Office survey guidelines and inventory process is a plus.
    • Experience with historical research, writing, and analysis for cultural resource reports.
    • Experience managing tasks independently.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
      Experience preparing Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plans is a plus.
      Ability to take tasks from beginning to end, including managing costs and schedule.
      Familiarity and understanding of Sections 106 and 110.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce and manage high quality deliverables.
    • Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently in flexible work environment.
    • Intellectual curiosity, paired with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
    • GPS, GIS, and MS Access experience a plus.
