Join our team of architectural historians and preservation consultants! Five or more years of experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field are required. Thorough knowledge of architectural history, building materials, and State and National Register guidelines for evaluating historic structures is required. Project management experience preferred. Responsible for independent completion of HABS/HAER, NRs, historic inventory surveys, historic context studies, and providing historical consulting for State Historic Preservation Division (SHPD) project reviews. Work tasks will include; coordinating with and advising clients on State historic preservation review requirements, performing fieldwork and research, writing reports, and evaluating historic significance/integrity and effects to historic properties. Section 106 experience, graphic support, and GIS skills are a plus.
The candidate shall reside on Oahu, HI currently, or be willing to relocate here soon.
Salary: Commensurate with experience. Range: $70k-$80k
