  • Job Qualifications:

    The successful candidate will have:

    ·         A bachelor’s degree in historic preservation or a related field such as history, architectural history,  public history; AND at least eight (8) years of relevant technical experience within the fields of history or architectural history

    OR

    A master’s degree in historic preservation or related field such as history, architectural history, public history; AND at least six (6) years of relevant technical experience within the fields of history or architectural history
    Meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards in their respective field
    The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

    ·         Mid-Atlantic cultural resources project experience

    ·         Completing cultural resource management reports and activities for Section 106 compliance projects

    Ability to guide clients on compliance with National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and various state and local regulations, preferably in the Mid-Atlantic
    Consultation with agencies and consulting parties
    ·         Transportation projects including Section 4(f)

    ·         Project management experience including leading a team, client management and adhering to schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include:

·         Completing and leading activities for Section 106 and similar compliance projects including evaluation of cultural resources, research and site visits, and report preparation

·         Leading business development opportunities and professional organization involvement

·         May manage projects, project teams, and clients
