Job Qualifications:The successful candidate will have:
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in anthropology, archaeology, or closely related field
· At least four months of related experience in a cultural resource management, academic or similar setting
· A valid driver’s license
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
· Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized approach to work
· Ability to work with limited supervision
· Working knowledge of standard archaeological laboratory methods
· Basic knowledge of the material culture of the mid-Atlantic region
· Attention to detail, including an aptitude for recognizing inconsistencies
· Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Access and Excel
· Ability to lift 40 pounds, examine small artifacts and other materials up to 8 hours per day, read and/or write small numbers and letters legibly up to 8 hours per day
· Ability to occasionally travel overnight (less than 5 percent)
