Website Mead & Hunt

Nationwide Firm with Roots in Renewable Energy: Mead & Hunt is a national, full-service architectural, cultural resources, engineering, planning, and construction firm that has been serving our clients for well over a century. The firm was established by hydroelectric and hydraulic engineer Daniel Mead in 1900. Since its founding, Mead & Hunt has grown significantly in size and diversity. The growth of the company has mirrored the changing markets of the country—as infrastructure needs expanded, so did we. Today, the firm provides services nationwide and employs approximately 1,200 people.

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated senior cultural resource specialist/project manager to join our established team. This exciting opportunity allows for professional growth through challenging and rewarding projects for a variety of agencies in the mid-Atlantic and beyond. Mead & Hunt has a strong and thriving people-focused culture that values diversity and inclusion. We offer competitive pay and other valuable benefits, including retirement plan (401(k)) with employer match, health insurance, disability insurance, paid vacation and sick time, paid caregiver leave, paid time for community service projects, support for participation in professional conferences and organizations, and more.

Responsibilities will consist of leading cultural resource projects done under federal, state, and local guidelines, including managing projects, project teams and clients; agency coordination; and business development activities, including proposals and professional organization involvement. Will also include completing some technical studies done under their research specialty (archaeology, architectural history or history). Preferred locations for this position would be Richmond or Fredericksburg (VA), Columbia (MD), Raleigh (NC), Wilmington (DE) or Washington DC. However, we want to find the most qualified person that can contribute to our team, and we are open to other locations throughout the U.S. who have had notable mid-Atlantic experience. The possibility of remote work may be available depending on candidate experience and qualifications. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required no matter your location.
