🔗Blackwater Draw Museum Collections Intern – 300 hours

National Park Service/NCPE Internship
The Blackwater Draw Museum at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) seeks to foster preservation and education of the heritage of New Mexico, the Southern High Plains, and the greater Southwest through exhibitions, educational programs, collections, and research, while enriching and supporting the educational goals and mission of ENMU.
The successful candidate will assist Blackwater Draw Museum staff with Bureau of Land Management (BLM) collections housed at ENMU’s Curation Facility. The collections are varied, centered on regional archaeological and ethnological artifacts and documents. Specifically the intern will work to organize archaeological collections by identifying, sorting, tagging, and re-housing artifacts; perform artifact data entry (using Past Perfect software); object photography; and other duties as assigned.
This internship is offered by the National Council for Preservation Education (NCPE) in cooperation with its partners the National Park Service (NPS) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
