🔗Cultural Landscape Planning Intern – 1200 hours

The Cultural Landscape Planning Associate (Intern) will prepare a Cultural Landscape Report, Record of Treatment for the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site in Brookline, a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. The Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site was the home and studio of Frederick Law Olmsted, the founder of American landscape architecture and the nation’s foremost designer of public parks. A Cultural Landscape Report (CLR) documents the history, significance and treatment of a cultural landscape, including any changes to its geographical context, features, materials, and use over time. As an integral part of the Olmsted Center team, the Associate will complete historic research and document the physical development and existing conditions of the landscape through original narrative, photography, and mapping. This internship is based in the Olmsted Center offices in Boston, but due to the pandemic, it will be hosted remotely until otherwise notified. An engaging program of trainings, park visits, and educational opportunities are offered as part of this internship experience.
