    Either field or museum collections experience working with archeology collections required. Good attention to detail, ability to learn how to navigate a collections management database, strong communication skills and an interest in learning about south Florida archeology.

National Park Service/NCPE Internship Program

Intern will process and catalog archeology collections maintained by Big Cypress National Preserve. Intern will receive cataloging training from museum staff at the Southeast Archeological Center and daily work will be supported by the Museum Specialist for the South Florida Collections Management Center. Intern will use professional museum standards and techniques to ensure collections are cataloged into the Interior Collections Management System (ICMS) and preserved in line with NPS standards. Will participate in park orientation, training, and may have opportunities to gain field experience. Office location is within Everglades National Park near Homestead, Florida. Personal vehicle is required.
