🔗Museum, Archives & Preservation Intern – 400 hours

National Park Service/NCPE Internship Program
The intern at Women’s Rights National Historical Park and Harriet Tubman National Historical Park will assist the Cultural Resource Manager in activities related to the preservation of historic structures and museum collections, including environmental monitoring, cataloging, rehousing, and archival work. The intern will help with monitoring and exhibit care at historic structures, including the Elizabeth Cady Stanton home and the Wesleyan Chapel, the site of the 1848 Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, New York. They will assist with museum collection management, including cataloging, housing, database/file accuracy, and archival work, and may assist with research and exhibit design.
This position is part of the Internship Program administered by the National Council for Preservation Education (NCPE). The program is a partnership between the National Park Service and NCPE. The successful applicants must be 30 years of age or younger (or 35 years or younger if a Veteran) when they begin the internship. Qualified NCPE interns who complete their internships may count their position towards earning a Public Land Corps (PLC) Non-Competitive Hiring Authority certificate.
