Website National Park Service/NCPE Internship

The park seeks an intern to assist with information management tasks usually associated with graduate work in archives or information science. Congress established the park in 1992 and it has been open to the public since 2004. Since that time, the park has accumulated an extensive collection of digital photographs, maps, drawings, and administrative files that need to be organized. Specific tasks may include adding metadata to photos and preparing maps and drawings to be sent to the NPS Technical Information Center for digitization. The intern may also work on preparing an extensive collection of oral history transcripts and recordings for publication on the park website.
