Preservation Houston is seeking a Historic Preservation Intern for Summer 2026. Work will primarily include projects related to preservation documentation and research, including local historic designation. The internship is designed to provide exposure to a range of preservation practices, and may also include advocacy support and other projects aligned with PH’s mission.

The intern will work in-office under the supervision of the Preservation Services Director. Candidates must be enrolled in a master’s degree program in Historic Preservation or a related field. Pay will be $18/hour for up to 300 hours. Dates and hours per week will be finalized based on individual candidate and PH’s needs.
