As Charleston continues to grow and evolve, PSC stands at the forefront, working with residents, leaders, and advocates to protect the city’s unique character and cultural heritage. This new leadership role will expand our reach, deepen engagement, and create momentum for preservation across neighborhoods, institutions, and generations.

This new leadership role will expand our reach, deepen engagement, and create momentum for preservation across neighborhoods, institutions, and generations. As the Director of Programs & Learning, you will:
- Lead Signature Programs: Oversee our flagship initiatives — The Fall Tours, Carolopolis Awards, and Preservation Month — ensuring they grow in impact, visibility, and community participation.
- Educate & Inspire: Develop and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, tours, and digital content that bring Charleston’s stories to life and connect preservation with today’s pressing issues, including resilience in the face of climate change.
- Mobilize the Community: Serve as one of PSC’s ambassadors — energizing volunteers, homeowners, students, and stakeholders to take action for preservation.
- Grow Partnerships: Build bridges with schools, universities, cultural institutions, and neighborhood groups to broaden PSC’s impact and inclusivity.
- Shape the Narrative: Collaborate with our communications team to craft compelling stories that highlight preservation successes and inspire new advocates.
