Website R&B Restoration Carpentry, Inc.

R&B Restoration Carpentry, Inc. works on buildings dating from the mid-18th century to the mid-20th century and ranging from houses to farm buildings, churches, meetinghouses, offices, and industrial buildings. We are carpenters who love old buildings and traditional construction. We know how old buildings were put together and how to repair and preserve historic fabric. We can analyze the causes of defects and design appropriate repairs. Working with historical architects and engineers, we build additions and undertake wholesale structural repairs. All of our jobsites are located within an hour's drive of our shop/office in West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania, which includes all of Chester County, western Philadelphia, and Wilmington and New Castle, Delaware.

The Foreman will lead a team of carpenters to undertake the scope of work for the project.  This is a hands-on-tools position, leading from the front.  The foreman will practice all types of traditional carpentry and joinery and be able to provide guidance to other team members.  The foreman will liaise with the client and the project manager to ensure work is undertaken on time and to the budget.

R&B will provide, in time, a company vehicle for the use of the employee.  The employee is expected to have all of the main tools that will be needed and some of the specialty tools that may be needed.  The employee’s vehicle is essentially a mobile shop since 90% of the work is undertaken on site.
