  • Job Summary: Ready to Take the Lead in a Meaningful, Hands-On Trade? Restoration West is looking for a project lead to take on our growing client-base and team.
  • Job Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of leadership experience in carpentry, painting, window restoration, or a related trade.
    • Prior experience leading or mentoring team members on job sites.
    • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and coworkers.
    • A commitment to quality, efficiency, organization, and problem-solving.
    • Strong work ethic, ability to problem-solve, and reliability.
    • Comfortable working on ladders, using tools, and performing physical work.
    • Familiarity with historic homes, architecture, construction, or preservation work is a plus.
    • Requirement to follow (and lead others in) RRP lead-safe practices (training provided).

  • Physical Demands / Work Environment: Lift and carry up to 55 lbs for 50 feet. Climb ladders up to 25 feet. Stand, bend, and perform manual tasks for 8–10 hour workdays. Work safely and comfortably with paints, putty, epoxy, and restoration tools. Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Restoration West is a historic window and door restoration company founded in 2022 by Caitlyn Barhorst. A proud queer-owned business, it has since grown to a team of eight full-time employees. While the company primarily focuses on residential projects, Restoration West has also expanded into larger-scale restoration work around Utah.

When you join our team, your job duties would be including, but not limited to:

  • Manage jobsite organization, timelines, and safety.
  • Assist in site visits for prospective projects and quote/proposal creation.
  • Create project timelines and checklists for completion.
  • Lead day-to-day operations on job sites for window restoration projects, including sash cord repair, weatherstripping installation, sash removal and installation, re-glazing, glass repair, and light carpentry.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and direction to entry-level and mid-level technicians.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for homeowners and clients.
  • Perform skilled restoration tasks such as epoxy repair, paint removal, reglazing, and reinstallation.
  • Coordinate with the Field Manager to align daily progress with project goals.
  • Track project time cards daily.
