  • Job Summary: We are looking for interns interested in historic buildings and in state, local, and federal historic rehabilitation tax incentives.
  • Job Qualifications:
    • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in American History, Architectural History, Historic Preservation, or Architectural Design with a historic concentration.
    • Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship
    • Minimum Overall and Major GPA of 3.0
    • Minimum of 6 – 12 Accounting hours depending on practice
    • Work effectively in a fast pace, high-energy environment.
    • Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
    • Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and etc.

  • Provide exceptional client service to our clients by identifying historic tax credit opportunities
  • Assist clients with state and local tax applications, which includes preparing clients for discussions with regulators
  • Research and draft Part 1 applications and National Register nominations
  • Provide expertise in American History, Architectural History, or related fields.
  • Assist managers and consultants by preparing federal Historic Preservation
  • Certification Application Parts 1, 2, and 3;
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests from State Historic Preservation Office and
  • National Park Service regulators
  • Review documentation and research issues
  • Work with raw data to identify tax credit opportunities
