  • Job Qualifications:

    All employees of Stockbridge Munsee Community must meet the following qualification:

    1. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and health screening.

    2. Must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated on job description

    3. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record

    4. Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays

    5. Must be able to obtain and maintain an elder/youth license.

    6. Must be COVID 19 fully vaccinated and remain up to date with required doses.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    College degree required in a related field.
    Must have a working knowledge of MS Office suite, calendar, and database management.
    Demonstration of project management experience.
    Prior demonstrated experience with customer service, including professional phone and email communication skills.
    Familiarity with Past Perfect software and/or other collections management systems preferred.
    Experience in records and/or office management preferred.
    Possess a high level of sensitivity to the needs of the tribal community.
    Must be able to take on additional responsibilities in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
    Must adhere to Employer’s Employee Dishonesty Policy.
    Must adhere to the Tribe’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
    Must have reliable transportation to the work location.
    Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
    Must be eligible for coverage under the employer’s liability insurance.
    Must be able to meet physical requirements of position.
    Must abide by departmental and organizational safety, testing, and uniform guidelines.
    Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
    Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
    Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures.
    May be required to satisfactorily complete an exam or other testing requirement(s) to determine skill proficiency.

Website Stockbridge-Munsee Community

The Historic Preservation Program Coordinator provides important part-time support for the Massachusetts-based Historic Preservation extension office including project tracking, data entry, agency correspondence, reporting and records management responsibilities primarily related to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) to protect Mohican and Munsee cultural places and ancestral belongings. The position is also responsible for coordinating interpretive signage content and creation of educational resources about Mohican history as committed to in intergovernmental agreements.
