This is a full-time, temporary, field-based assignment and it is expected to last until November 21st, 2024. Preference will be given to local candidates in the Pittsburgh, PA area. SWCA’s Pittsburgh, PA office offers a unique work environment and a diversified client-base, including oil and gas, generation/renewables, transportation, water infrastructure, and land development.
The selected candidate will be required to pass client-specific drug and alcohol screening.
What you will accomplish
- Perform complete archaeological surveying and field testing
- Conduct shovel test pits and excavation units
- Execute data recovery and associated field recording
- Complete field forms, digital photography, and in-field mapping
- Assist with archaeological office and lab work
- Participate in GPS data collection in the field under the supervision of a Field Lead or Project Archaeologist
An employee in this Pittsburgh, PA-based position can expect an hourly pay rate of $18.75–$24.75/hour. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
