  • Job Summary: Trileaf is seeking a full time, SOI-Qualified, Sr. Archaeologist in Texas.
  • Job Qualifications:

    The job will include, but is not limited to, the completion of SHPO file reviews for above and below ground cultural resources, unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys, construction monitoring, and cultural resource report writing/production.

    To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:

    · Master’s degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field

    · SOI Qualified

    · 2+ years of previous work in Texas

    · Working knowledge of Texas Antiquity Code

    · Experience holding and fulfilling Texas Antiquities Permits

    · Capable of field work

    · Ability and willingness to travel (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time)

    · Flexible and adaptable

    · Be able to work independently with minimal supervision

    · Be dedicated to excellence

    · Good computer skills

    · Attention to detail

    · Strong work ethic

    · Valid Driver License

This individual should have at least 2 years of field experience and applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), specifically related to telecommunications projects. Projects are generally completed in TX, OK, LA, and AR, therefore previous regional archaeological experience is preferred. This position has the possibility to be remote, depending on the applicant’s location. However, Trileaf has an office located in Austin.
